Day 16

Reins of Life

Today I volunteered out at Reins of Life, a therapeutic riding center.  This place is amazing! I love that South Bend has a place where children can receive therapeutic riding. You wouldn't believe the smile that is on each child's face when they are riding a horse. Today I was a side walker for a little four year old girl. She couldn't get enough of it. All she wanted to do was trot and each time we did her smile and laughter made me so happy!

My neighbors yard

 Each day I give our little doggy multiple walks. For the past few days I have noticed this flower and how beautiful it looks. Funny enough, Brian thought the same thing when we took Z for a walk.

My Niece Adriana

This night we had the pleasure of eating dinner with my niece Adriana. She continually amazing me with her vocabulary. I catch her saying many big kid words you normally wouldn't hear out of a three,  almost four year old's mouth. In just a few short days our Adriana will turn four. Time is really flying by.

My momma's garden

 This is just a small snippet of my mom's garden. Bright and early today I had the "opportunity" to mow my parents lawn for them while they are away on vacation.  After mowing the lawn and watering my mom's hobby I notice how beautiful this little section of the pond was. At this time of year my mom's garden is truly a masterpiece and needs to be in a magazine. I think I should give Better Homes and Garden a call.

So, I took this picture with my Iphone and I was quite impressed with the Jellies! I love to watch how delicately they move. Quite a beautiful thing.

Paris Club

Ahhhh Chicago, I do love you. Thursday I had a lovely little dinner with three of my gals. We had appetizers at one bar then dinner at Paris Club. Yum, eating at places like this with my best gals, couldn't be better right? Well, I guess it could...I would love to live there and dine with them more often, but I guess going in every now and then makes it more special. Right????? That's what I tell myself.

So Simon is really not a pony, he is actually quite tall. When putting on the saddle I have to throw it above my head then launch it on to his back.  Today after I hosed the old man down and washed his tail, I took a quick pic. Love how it turned out!

Watching a baby sleep is one of my favorite things. Jager (Lilli's brother) has now found his thumb!  When he is ready for a nap in goes the thumb and he is out. Love him :)

Granny's little vase

This little vase use to sit in my Granny's window and now it is in mine. Each day when I see it, it reminds me of her (love and miss her so much).

Wedding Day for Miss Stephanie Wright

Another beauty! From the moment she stepped into her dress she just shined the entire day! I am not sure I saw a moment when she wasn't smiling! A perfect wedding! We are so happy to have friends like Steph and Mike. This happy couple is on their way to Maui (so very jealous, Brian and I went their on our honeymoon).

Wedding Day for Miss Joy Bostock

 Isn't she beautiful? She had a very long walk to the alter and was beaming the whole way! Congrats! So happy for you two! I am also very jealous of Joy and P.J. they are honeymooning over in Germany and France. SO LUCKY!



Day Four 7/14/11

Zoey and I made a little coffee run and my car recognized that there was weight on the front seat. The car will continue to beep until I buckle the seat belt. Normally Miss Z will move around the belt, however this day she was a little too sleepy to care. 

365 Day Three

This evening I helped my beautiful friend aka THE BRIDE put together her programs:) We had a great night of laughs and a few Skinny Girls!

I am so excited for this weekend. Two of my very good friends are getting married!

365 Day: Two

Today I played my first full nine holes at South Bend Country Club. When I say full I mean I didn't drop the ball in the middle of the fairway or drop a second or third ball because I didn't like my hit. I played for REAL. I did have fun and I will go back next week since all the ladies are so very nice, but my score, well I don't want to talk about that. Today I learned I need to learn how to chip and putt better.  Yes, Brian was right.

What inspires you? I have been inspired by a friend to have my own 365. Each day I will take a picture of something or someone that has inspired me.


Day One: My little Lilly.
The majority of Miss Lilly's life she has multiple seizures a day causing her to not develop as a child would. Last year in March Cher and Kevin, her wonderful parents, started the Ketogenic diet with her. Since being on this diet she has not had a seizure. I love to see her laughing and babbling at things!
Today I caught her taking a cat nap. I am sure I will post more of her in the future. Her smile makes me both cry and smile each time I see it!
