 Back to reality for us. No more great dinners or fancy cars. As I retrieved my suitcase today at the airport I noticed BOTH handles had broken. Sadly my suitcase is done. This beat up thang has gone to some amazing places with me in the past four years since Brian and I started dating. Sad to see the poor thing go. I guess its on to the next one and new adventures.

Pebble Beach, Ca

 On this day we had the pleasure of attending the most amazing car event the Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach. We had a private tour of the Ferrari GT's. I don't really know what to say about these cars, but they were a sight to see, lovely pieces of history.

I also really enjoyed seeing the first Mercedes Benz. They are just so classic and elegant looking. I took a ton of pictures, but these two were my favorite. I am sure they will be hanging in our house in the near future.

L' Auberge Carmel, Ca

At this magnificent little place we took a cooking class along with lunch and wine pairing. Can you say YUM?? The chef had recently moved to Carmel from Chicago where he worked at Charlie Trotter. For lunch we had a prawn salad that we made, abalone, fresh sockeye salmon, and a chocolate torte. Loved IT!

The Inn at Spanish Bay

In our hotel parking lot there was the most AMAZING cars I had ever seen. Not too often do you walk out of your hotel to a beauty like this. This  Buick was just over 100 years old. Wow! This was the first of many historic cars that I saw on this trip.
