Korea Day One

Brian and I recently took an amazing trip to Seoul to visit with Hankook Tires. Such an experience!!
Here is our trip in pictures!

Our first stop on day one was at the Hankook Tire Global Headquarters. I didn't take any pictures there. Didn't want to look like a tourist:)

After our nice visit at the headquarters we loaded up in a van with Angela and headed to the tire plant. On our way there we stopped for lunch at a beautiful rest stop. I haven't seen any rest stop like this before.

Koi Fish Pond.....

Bimbimbap for lunch. Bimbimbap is a combination of rice, steamed vegetables and a chili paste. The meal was delicious and so healthy.

From there we left and headed to the Hankook tire plant. Prior to entering the building I snapped this picture and realized that I would not be aloud to take anymore while we were there:( The plant was so interesting. Majority of the plant was run robotically (sp?). For a girl who is married to a tire family, I don't know much about tires and this trip really helped me out!

After our tour of the plant we were able to take a trip on the wet track. Lets just say I didn't get sick, however I was breathing very deep during the experience!

Once our driving experience was over we headed to the R and D center. I this place was amazing. I was able to see a few of the tests that they put their tires through when creating a new tire! Very long day, yet very informational.

For dinner our first night we went to a Korean BBQ. At a Korean BBQ the food is cooked right in front of you. Not like a Japanese steak house, but on small coal fired grills in the middle of the table( where that circle is they placed a coal fire). The ladies who were taking care of our table would come in and out so quickly with new side dishes our table quickly filled up with food that was all so very tasty, yet again healthy.
